ANDREWS - A man has been arrested for murder after police found a woman dead in her home in Andrews.

Andrews Police Chief Bud Jones tells NewsWest9 that 22-year-old Glory Olivas was found dead at a home in the 900 block of Northeast 5th Street around 1:30 Monday afternoon.

20-year-old Jacob Trevino was arrested by police late Monday evening after being called to the police station for an interview on the death. He has been charged with murder and is currently in the Andrews County Jail.

Chief Jones told NewsWest9 that Olivas had three children. Trevino was the father of one of those kids. Chief Jones says there have been domestic disturbances between Trevino and Olivas in the past and police have been called to the house before.

Chief Jones declined to release further details on Olivas' death as the investigation is still ongoing.

The Texas Rangers are helping the Andrews Police Department with the investigation.

Olivas' body has been sent to Lubbock for an autopsy. Olivas' children are now staying with family.
