An accused member of the Latin Kings has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges and apparently has implicated other members of the gang; some of whom are accused in a deadly drive-by shooting in Big Spring.

Reynaldo Nava pleaded guilty to two counts this past Friday.

Nava faces up to life in prison without parole for his role in a drug trafficking ring that began in 2005 and ended in December of 2008.

He is not one of the men accused in the big spring shooting that killed two people and injured six others in May of last year.

Authorities say Nava and 16 other co-defendants sold drugs in Lubbock, Abilene, San Angelo, Dallas, Fort Worth, and as far away as Chicago.

Nava made his plea during a re-arraignment in federal court and will be sentenced at a later date.

So far, he's the only person charged in this investigation to plead guilty.
