Two Burglars Arrested in Hobbs

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Two Hobbs men are behind bars after breaking in to a home in the 1600 Block of North Cobb.

Hobbs Police tell NewsWest 9, that three suspects were seen breaking in to the home just after 10:30 on Thursday morning.

A witness told Police that he saw three suspects stealing the items and placing them into a gold Cadillac.

Later that day, Police located the Cadillac and found 19-year-old Jonathan Soto and 20-year-old Paul Marquez in the vehicle.

Both were transported to the Hobbs Police Department where they were arrested.

Both suspects have been charged with Residential Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, Receiving or Disposal of Stolen Property, and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.

Soto and Marquez are currently behind bars on a $16,500 bond.

Charges are pending on the third suspect.
