Police Make Second Arrest in Connection to 20-Year-Old Cold Case

According to the Attorney General's Office, 59-year-old George Bell McIntyre has been charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder.

PECOS COUNTY - Another man is behind bars in Pecos County arrested in connection with the 20 year old disappearance of Fort Stockton rancher Joe Daggett.

According to the Attorney General's Office, 59-year-old George Bell McIntyre has been charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder.

He is being held on a $500,000 dollar bond.

This is the second arrest in three days.

On Tuesday, authorities in New Mexico arrested 57-year-old Lightsey Saul on Tuesday at a ranch in Eddy County.

According to the indictment out of Midland County, McIntyre and Saul killed Joe Daggett while trying to rob him in March of 1988.

Investigators believe the two men left Daggett's truck at the Midland International Airport after disposing of his body which has still not been recovered.
