ODESSA - With his mobile business, Jimmy Blount decided to get a head start repairing cars that were damaged by the storm on Saturday.

"I probably had 20 calls today and scheduled them for tomorrow," Blount said.

Blount says the demand for car windshield repairs are common in the area, especially during this time of the season.

"It picks up as severe weather comes about. We run on a 150 mile radius, and this is actually our busiest time of the year," Blount said.

As for his 9-year-old son Codie, riding along with his dad on jobs is fun, but not easy. "Cutting the glass for 18 wheelers; it's a tough job," Codie said.

For Codie helping his dad out is something he looks forward to every weekend.

"Someday he won't be there for me and that's mostly why I come with him, just to spend time with him," Codie said.

Blount says in order to prevent car damages during a storm, stop driving and look for covered shelter to park your car under.

"A car moving will do a lot more damage to it, because you got hail coming down at 50 mph, and you're driving 60 mph, and then it's hitting you at 110 mph," Blount said.
