Big Spring Police Officer Fired

BIG SPRING - A Big Spring Police officer accused of getting into a drunken fight at a bar has been fired.

Officer Justin Terrazas was arrested in early March at The Bar by the Spring on Highway 87 in Howard County. He was charged with Public Intoxication and Assault.

The Big Spring Police Department first suspended Terrazas with pay, but has since fired him. Terrazas had five days to appeal, but did not do so.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the incident.
