WEST TEXAS - Strong winds battered West Texas late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

In Big Spring, part of a metal roof at the Ace Harris Lumber and Hardware on FM 700 was peeled back by the winds. The roof was left hanging over the side of the building.

Midland and Odessa also saw some damage; a family in Midland was surprised to find their trampoline on the roof instead of in their back yard.

While in Odessa, part of the roof from the Blue Star Inn, was torn completely off, and landed just inches from the curb on 2nd Street.

The winds gusted to 61 miles-per-hour at the Midland International Airport on Thursday morning. Lamesa and Snyder also saw gusts around 60 miles-per-hour as well.

No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.
