ODESSA - It will take several days to question hundreds of potential jurors for a trial to re-sentence a convicted killer from Odessa.
Hundreds of jurors packed into Barn G at the Ector County Coliseum on Wednesday morning.
Michael Dean Gonzales, also known as "Spider," was sent to death row almost 15 years ago for the brutal slaying of his neighbors in 1994.
Miguel and Merced Aguirre were stabbed to death.
Gonzales's sentence was overturned because the state's psychologist used Gonzales' race was factor in whether or not he was a future threat to society.
