Ector County Sheriff’s Office Makes Two Large Drug Seizures

ECTOR COUNTY - The Ector County Sheriff's Office had a busy day on Tuesday after they made two drug seizures in Ector County.

The first seizure was made around 6:45 p.m. after investigators stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Upon investigation of the suspects inside the vehicle, a search found 50 grams of cocaine on 29 year-old Alfonso Marquez.

Marquez was arrested for cocaine possession.

Street value of the cocaine is approximately $5,000.

The second seizure occurred just after 9:30p.m. after investigators stopped another vehicle for a traffic violation.

During the stop, 36-year-old Rodolfo Guijarro, gave officers a false name and date of birth, and ran from deputies.

After Guijarro was detained, deputies found approximately 609 grams of cocaine.

Guijarro has been booked at the Odessa Detention Center and is awaiting federal charges to be filed.

Guijarro also has immigration charges pending as well.
