ODESSA - More than 600 potential jurors will file into the Ector County Coliseum on Wednesday morning to possibly decide the fate of a convicted killer.
The re-sentencing trial for Michael "Spider" Gonzales is set to begin on Wednesday morning.
Gonzales was sent to death row for the double murder of an elderly couple in their home back in 1994.
This new jury will have to decide if Gonzales is a future threat to impose the death sentence.
The original sentence was thrown out because the state's psychologist said Gonzales was a threat partly because of his race.
Gonzales' case was one of a half dozen death row cases heading back to court for re-sentencing.
