CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) - A 19-year-old Carlsbad man was being held on a $1 million bond after his arrest on a second-degree murder charge in the death of another man at a party in January.

Carlsbad police arrested Everett Milez about 4 p.m. Thursday at his mother's house in the slaying of Christopher Lee, a student at New Mexico State University-Carlsbad.

Milez is accused of shooting Lee to death on Jan. 17 at a home during a party.
