MIDLAND - Do you have a vision for the future of Midland? If so, Vision 2020 needs you and your ideas.

"Every ten years since 1967 volunteers have gotten together to try to plan for Midland's future," Becky Ferguson, Co-Chair of Vision 2020, said.

With an uncertain economy, the next ten years may be more important than ever.

"This first started it was at a very down time in Midlands economy.  Oil was at three dollars a barrel and citizens got together and said if we want this to be a viable community we have to take the bull by the horns and do something," she said.

13 task force groups will tackle issues like housing and development.

"We will meet once a month, and bite by bite, eat this huge elephant that is housing from affordable housing, emergency shelter to rental property," Cindy Lanning, Co-Chair of Housing, said.

Vision 2020 will hold a community forum on Thursday, March 26th @ 7p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Everyone is invited to attend.
