MIDLAND/ODESSA - It's one of the biggest expenses parents face, child care.
One local non profit is helping soften the blow their wallets.
West Texas Opportunities has received a grant through funding from the Texas Workforce Commission, which helps low income single parents and families pay for child care if they are working or going to school.
Parents who qualify can choose from a list of daycares in the area and pay a portion of the cost.
The program also helps keep them off other government assistance.
West Texas Opportunities serves 17 counties in the Permian Basin.
