Violeta Trevizo

Violeta is the Digital Content Manager for NewsWest 9, where she has been leading the efforts to create a newsroom that is not only digital first, but also caters to a digital audience that is separating itself from the broadcast world. Violeta started at NewsWest 9 as a digital content producer in January 2017 and was promoted in March 2018. She previously worked as a web producer at Fox 34 in Lubbock while she attended Texas Tech University. During her time in Lubbock she joined the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, two organizations in which she is still active today. The Dallas native graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in December 2016. She has a passion for investigative reporting and travel, but most of all she likes to educate others through her storytelling. In her free time you can find her enjoying the company of family and friends, and trying to make others laugh.
