Kirsten Geddes

Kirsten Geddes is a Digital Content Producer with NewsWest 9. She joined the NewsWest 9 team in April 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in May the same year. Additionally, she spent three years at Midland College, including one heavily involved with the journalism department. During her time at Midland College, she attended the 2015 Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Conference, where she won second place for her On-Site Critical Review of the Tina Fey film “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”. She also received third place in 2016 for Pre-Written Critical Review for her review of the Panic! At the Disco album “Death of a Bachelor”. Kirsten’s love of writing came about at an early age and continues on through many forms. She loves experiencing storytelling in any capacity. When not writing for the web or critiquing movies and plays, she can be found listening to music and podcasts, watching television and YouTube, reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons and of course writing.
