Nathan is one of three meteorologists here at NewsWest 9. He grew up south of Seattle in a town called Sumner, Washington with his mom, dad, two sisters, and three dogs. His passion for weather stems to when he was very young and his family got stuck in a thunderstorm on a boat during their annual vacation to Priest Lake, Idaho. Since then, he was always the one filming storms and tracking them on radar instead of staying dry inside like everyone else. Nathan attended the University of Washington in Seattle where he earned his B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences in June of 2018. He was also a member of the Husky Marching Band, where he played the mellophone for four years. When he's not forecasting the weather, he loves watching sports, listening to music, and playing tennis. Nathan is excited to embrace the challenge of forecasting West Texas weather, and can't wait for some good thunderstorms!
