Anthony Franze joined the First Alert Weather Team in June 2018 as the Morning Meteorologist. Previously, Anthony worked at KECI in Missoula, Montana as the weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter. He graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in Meteorology. Anthony also interned at KTEN in Denison, Texas while still in college. Anthony grew up in the small town of Gunter in North Texas. Here, severe thunderstorms sparked his passion for weather. Anthony’s interest in broadcasting started while recording weather updates for his college’s TV station. He is very excited to combine his two passions together and be able to deliver accurate weather information to the West Texas community. Anthony enjoys living a very active lifestyle and enjoys playing any sport he can. He ran track all four years in college and specialized in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. He ran the fastest times on his team in those events his freshman and sophomore years and was one of the team captains his junior and senior years. Anthony is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers and hopes that one day they can finally win a World Series Championship. Anthony is very excited to be back in Texas and to be doing a job that he loves.
