MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — One person is dead and another is in jail following a Sunday morning crash in Midland County.

DPS responded to the area of West CR 140 and South CR 1200 just after 2:30 a.m. in response to a one-vehicle crash.

According to investigators, Armando Gonzalez, Jr., 26, of Divine, Texas was driving a Toyota Camry east on CR140 with two passengers.

Gonzalez reportedly disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of CR 140 and CR 1200 and lost control of the car. The car then struck a dumpster and fence.

Neither Gonzalez nor the other passenger were injured in the crash.
