MISD Board of Trustees votes to end district-wide mask requirement

In a meeting Monday, the board voted to remove the mandate beginning May 24.

MIDLAND, Texas — In a Midland ISD Board of Trustees meeting Monday, the board voted to end the current district-wide mask mandate beginning May 24.

The decision means students, staff and parents will not be required to wear masks at graduations, or in schools over the summer and next school year.

They district said masks will remain optional for those who would like to wear them.
