One former Midland man is looking at jail time after he plead guilty to taking molotov cocktails to the Republican National Convention.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Bradley Neal Crowder plead guilty to the one charge of aiding and abetting possession of an unregistered firearm.

No sentencing date has been set.

Authorities say Crowder and another former Midland man, David McKay, are part of an Austin-based protest group and planned to use the molotov cocktails to destroy property or hurt people during the Convention.

McKay's trial begins January 26th.
