Medical Responder Problem Affecting the City of Marfa

MARFA - It's an emergency situation in Marfa where they don't have enough emergency responders.

NewsWest 9 spoke with City Administrator Jim Mustard who says these days it's hard to find medical responders in Marfa, Fort Davis, and Presidio.

One of their EMT's just headed to south Texas to help with hurricane relief, but the high salaries in the oil field has also made it dificult to keep staff on board.

September 20th, and the 24th through the 28th, Marfa plans to rely on the surrounding communities to help out in case of emergency.
