Marfa Residents Want City Street Lights Turned Back On

Staff Report
NewsWest 9

MARFA - Some people in Marfa say enough is enough.

They want the streetlights back on.

Last week, the City Council listened to their concerns about safety.

Council members shut off 250 of the cities streetlights earlier this year because they are thousands of dollars in debt.

But now some people complain it's dangerous to keep the lights off this long and hope council members will be able to work the streetlights into their budget.

The council is still discussing how they could pay for the bill.
