CPS Recommending Eight FLDS Children Return to Foster Care

Staff Report
NewsWest 9

It's been two months since a judge sent 440 FLDS children home, but the order may not stand for eight of the kids taken in April during the massive raid of the YFZ Ranch in Eldorado.

Officals with Child Protective Services are recommending eight of the children, ages 5 to 17 return to foster care.

They say their mothers have refused to follow a judge's orders, limiting their contact with men allegedly involved in underage marriages.

Individual hearings start Monday morning.

All of the eight kids are no longer living at the Yearning for Zion Ranch in Eldorado.
