MIDLAND/ODESSA - Good news when it comes to the power situation.

ONCOR officials say most of the outages in Odessa and Midland have been repaired.

There are a few outages here and there but for the most part things are looking a lot better.

State officials also say the emergency situation in regards to power is over, so we shouldn't have to worry about rolling blackouts anymore.

If you're dealing with an outage or know someone who is, you can call ONCOR at 1-888-313-4747.

Now you're still being asked to conserve energy throughout the week.

Here are a few things you can do:

  • Turn off and unplug any unused appliances
  • Lower your thermostat to 68 degrees
  • Turn off any computers or electronics you're not using
  • Along with any lights in rooms that aren't being used.

On top of saving energy, you can also do some things to cut down on your gas use:

  • Set your thermostat to 65 degrees
  • Limit your early morning hot water use
  • Limit opening doors and windows
  • Close your blinds and drapes to keep the heat in.

Meanwhile, the state of emergency declared by Ector County Judge Susan Redford remains in effect.

It will stay in effect until she lifts it or when it's been cleared.
