Hobbs Police Investigating After Newborn Baby Was Found Dead

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Hobbs Police are investigating after finding a dead newborn baby over the weekend.

It happened Sunday at a home in the 1300 block of Greenacres.

Investigators say they found the boy on the floor next to his mother, who was unresponsive.

The woman was taken to the hospital to get checked out.

Police are waiting on autopsy results to determine how the baby died.

No word on whether the mother will face any charges.
