MIDLAND - A Midland oilfield worker ends up in the hospital with burns after an accident at a tank battery southeast of town.
It happened just before lunch-time on a job site near Highway 158 and FM 1379.
According to the Midland County Fire Marshal, a work crew was replacing a valve on a heater treater, when it flashed.
One worker from Universal Valves, suffered burns on his hands, face and chest.
He was taken to the hospital.
He's expected to be okay.
