City of Big Spring Responds to Recent Lawsuit

BIG SPRING - The City of Big Spring has fired back against a lawsuit.

The City filed its response to a lawsuit by the Concerned Citizens Council of Big Spring.

That group says the city illegally called an emergency meeting, then voted on a petition for a tax rollback election.

The Citizens Council wanted the election because they weren't happy about the city funding a new pool.

The city says it did not break the Texas open meeting's act in any way, and claims the petition was frivolous in the first place since it only had one signature.
