Retired Local General Brings Unique Road Show to Midland Students

MIDLAND - Midland sixth graders got an up close look at life in the Middle East thanks to a retired general with Midland roots.

General Tommy Franks' road show and classroom is on display for Midland students.

The road show is a traveling museum full of exhibits from 24 countries in the Middle East.

Students learned about the region and the culture in the Middle East.

General Franks attend Midland schools and lead the 2003 invasion in Iraq to overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
