Convicted Murderers Could Walk Free

Posted: Updated:

AMARILLO, TEXAS - Dozens of murder convictions in the Panhandle are at risk of being overturned. It all stems from a complaint filed with the Texas Medical Board.

The complaint claims that one of the former medical examiners was not qualified to do the job.

Government Watch Dog David Fisher spent nine years researching this complaint.

He thinks he's found proof that Dr. Paul Shrode consistently lied about his licenses and former jobs.

NewsChannel 10 tried to contact the doctor multiple times at his office and home, but we were not able to reach him.

The investigation is expected to take at least 60 days.
