WEST TEXAS - Thanksgiving is over, and that means the mad dash for deals is on. The Black Friday shopping was 'non-stop' all day Friday, but many retailers are already looking ahead to Cyber Monday.
While many are still planning on shopping in your traditional brick and mortar stores, online buying is on the rise and Cyber Monday is just one example.
Many deals are offered for shopping online Monday, including numerous discounts and coupons from National retailers. On Friday, NewsWest 9 found deals not just for Cyber Monday, but Black Friday too. Analysts said online sales should be up about three percent this year. Your traditional stores are still expecting bigger than usual crowds this weekend, but overall the National economy is still hurting in sales.
Many of the deals you can find online include discounts for large purchases and now what is becoming a standard this time of the year: free shipping. It's also a good idea to check with retailers. Sometimes you can buy online and pick up your items in the store.
