ODESSA - More than 60 volunteers spent their Thanksgiving serving others.
It was all part of the traditional lunch that the Salvation Army has to offer.
Unlike previous years, this year they expected the number of people waiting for the meal to be around 200.
For a volunteer, this is a special time to lend a helping hand to those who need it the most.
"I have a lot to be thankful for as much need as there is, all of us have need, but I feel that I have more to be thankful for than I have to feel sorry about. This is just a small way to say thank you, Lord for all the blessings, and I want to be a blessing," Volunteer, Dalila Murphy, said.
Along with a warm meal, warm coats were also handed out by volunteers.
