BIG SPRING - Three workers who were injured in a small explosion Monday evening at the Alon refinery have been released from the hospital.
The blast happened in a boiler room just before 9:00 p.m. Monday.
Alon officials say the blast was contained and there was never any threat to the public. The cause of the small explosion is still under investigation.
Alon says production was not affected and the refinery is running normally.
