AMARILLO, TEXAS - A new program is hoping to create a better-educated workforce for Amarillo by providing a new take on offering high school dropouts a second chance.
A partnership between Amarillo College and Amarillo High School think of the new program as dual credit in reverse. Instead of being in high school and earning a college degree, these students are in college and a working on their high school degree at the same time.
A similar program in South Texas has shown great success.
