SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Lt. Gov. Diane Denish collected $1 million for her campaign for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination since early May and former state Republican Party chairman Allen Weh has raised almost a half million dollars for his campaign for governor.
That's according to the latest campaign finance reports, which must be filed Tuesday with the secretary of state's office.
Denish released a fundraising summary that said her campaign had a cash balance of almost $2.2 million as of last week.
Weh reported raising almost $495,000. Of that, $250,000 was loaned by Weh to his campaign. He reported a cash balance of about $372,000.
Weh is among several Republicans seeking the GOP nomination. Denish is the only announced Democratic candidate for governor.
