ODESSA - The Odessa Police Department says that a text message about an Amber Alert that is going around the area is fake.

The text message claims that a three-year-old boy was abducted in Odessa by a man.

OPD says if the Amber Alert was true there would have been a lot more information.

Do not forward the text on.
