Horse Dies from Rabies After Attending Local Rodeo

Posted:

SCURRY COUNTY - Health officials are looking for people who may have come into contact with a sick horse at a local rodeo.

The horse died July 30th from rabies after being at the Scurry County Rodeo the week before.

The quarter horse mare was kept in a stall on the west side of the area grounds in a parking lot.

If you think you may have come in contact with the animal, you should call your doctor or state health services.
