MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - A Boil Water Notice has been issued for Greenwood.
Officials say due to an electrical malfunction at the Greenwood Water Corporation, all customers in the area need to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc).
Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
If you or your family do not have the means to boil water than purchasing bottled water is another option.
When it is no longer necessary to boil water, public water system officials will notify customers that the water is once again safe for drinking or consumption purposes.
