STANTON, TX (KWES) - A new law enforcement center has come to Stanton, and the sheriff’s office had a commemorative grand opening.
The building was dedicated and named after Dan Saunders, a former 1950′s Martin County Sheriff.
The February 25 grand opening of the Dan Saunders Law Enforcement Center’s took nearly four years to complete. It will function as the new Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Jail.
Sheriff Brad Ingram says, ″We’re really proud of the facility...and I think the community turn out shows the support so far. I think overall this facility is a great asset to the county.”
The new center is located at 3522 IH-20 in Stanton. The grand opening is open to the public.
