ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa man is dead and another is injured following a major crash that occurred early Wednesday morning on West Interstate Highway 20 and West Loop 338.
According to police, Carlos Gonzalez, 23, was traveling northbound in a red 2008 Dodge Ram on Southwest Loop 338, with Oscar Brito Ortiz, 24, traveling southbound in a black 2018 Kia Forte.
Police say the vehicles struck each other head-on.
Ortiz was pronounced deceased on scene and Gonzalez was transported to Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and more information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
