Border Patrol seize over $190,000 worth of cocaine at the border

Friday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office at the Presidio port of entry seized 15.5 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a SUV, with an estimated street value of $191,700.

PRESIDIO, TX (KWES) - Friday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office at the Presidio port of entry seized 15.5 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a SUV, with an estimated street value of $191,700.

CBP officers discovered the drugs in a hidden compartment around 10:30 Friday morning, and arrested the driver, a 19-year-old Mexican citizen from Chihuahua City, Chihuahua.

The driver was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to face federal prosecution for the smuggling attempt.
