Saturday Evening Weather Update

Good evening, hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine today! Unfortunately, tomorrow looks to be a chilly day, so good for watching football, but not so good for getting outside. We'll be watching for some fog and possibly some freezing fog to form in and along the mountains tomorrow morning, with the possibility of some light freezing drizzle as well. Temperatures early tomorrow will be cold in the low 30s and the upper 20s for some of us. We'll see more of a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow, and with a cool air mass overhead, we'll be lucky if we get much past the mid 40s tomorrow in the Permian Basin and across the Trans-Pecos. Our warmest spots will be in the Big Bend area.

Monday morning will likely see more widespread fog and freezing fog. This could make for isolated slippery spots on the roadways once again, as well as reduced visibility. Just take it slow and give yourself some extra space between you and the car in front of you and you'll be just fine. Fortunately, this cold spell won't last long. Monday afternoon will be warmer into the 50s, and this will be the start of a nice warming trend with sunshine breaking through in the afternoon.

Looking later into next week, there is a slight chance of showers to our south on Tuesday. That said, Tuesday looks to get back to the 60s and Wednesday will likely see mid 60s. High pressure will dominate through Thursday with temperatures getting into the upper 60s to possibly 70 Thursday afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Enjoy!

Have a great rest of your weekend and stay safe out on the road Monday morning!
