ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Thursday, students from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin STEM Academy will glaze bowls in the Charles A. Sorber Visual Arts Studio to be sold during the 2019 Empty Bowls fundraising event benefiting the West Texas Food Bank.

Entry to the event is $15 per person, and each person will receive a hand crafted bowl, along with all you can eat soup and goodies generously donated from Catfish & Co. in Odessa, and Jason’s Deli in Midland.

The 19th Annual Empty Bowls event is scheduled for January 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the West Texas Food Bank Facility in Odessa.

Prior to the event, potters from UTPB, Odessa College and Midland College have been hard at work producing the bowls which will be for sale the evening of the Empty Bowls event.

OC hosted a “Bowl-A-Thon” event on December 17, 2018 for the potters from their college, MC and UTPB.
