MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Salvation Army is $79,000 short of their 2018 goal and claims it is due to a lack of bell ringers.
During an oil and gas boom, Midland companies and organizations often face staffing issues, and the Salvation Army is no different.
Captain Jeremy Walker says though they are halfway through the season and have 20 partners across the Basin, from Walmart to Big Lots, they have not been able to find the bodies.
The money donated helps fulfill the Christmas wishes of more than 1,200 kids throughout the Permian Basin.
If you or your company would like to volunteer, call 432-683-3614 and they will help put a bell in your hand this season.
