ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The City of Odessa is warning drivers about a flashing traffic signal that will be in place starting December 10.
At the intersection of Maple and University, the east and westbound traffic will have a flashing yellow light to ensure drivers use caution. North and southbound drivers will have a flashing red light meaning they will need to yield to the north and southbound traffic.
The reason for this temporary signal change is due to Oncor installing poles and overhead wires at the intersection. This installation is part of the University Improvement Project.
There is no word yet on how long the installation will take but drivers are urged to use caution when driving through the area until crews have completed their work.
