ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Saulsbury Corporation will donate $100,000 to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundations’ fund to repair the spring-fed pool at Balmorhea State Park Thursday at Saulsbury Industries. Apache Corporation established a matching challenge grant to fund repairs and will match Saulsbury’s donation dollar for dollar.

The campaign to raise $2 million to repair the world’s largest spring-fed swimming pool was announced in August as a partnership between the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and Apache Corporation.

Balmorhea State Park was closed in early 2018 following a structural collapse of part of the pool wall caused by years of erosion from the flow of water from the springs.
