MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Good evening. We set a new record high this afternoon as temps. rose into the low 80s. Slightly cooler and very windy weather will be in store Friday afternoon as the next storm system passes into the Plains. A strong west wind will kick-in Friday afternoon between 20-35 mph. Wind gust could reach 40-50 mph across much of the area with 60-65 mph possible across the mountains. Blowing dust and some fire danger will be possible Friday afternoon! Use precautions and tie any loose item down! Lows tonight will drop into the 40s and low 50s. Friday afternoon we will see highs in the 60s and low 70s. Breezy to windy weather will continue through weekend with highs in the mid 60s.
