ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Odessa Regional Medical Center will be hosting a free event to help promote early detection and men’s health.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 30. It will take place at the Westlake Ace Hardware on East University Boulevard.
During the event ORMC will be providing free health screenings for men, including lab work and a GI screening questionnaire. Lab work will include lipid panels, thyroid screenings and cholesterol and A1C tests.
Free lunch will be provided and men who receive a screening will get a 10 percent discount on their purchase at the hardware store.
ORMC hopes the event will raise awareness for preventable health problems and help encourage early detection. The top causes of adult men in the U.S. include heart disease, cancer, unintentional injuries and stroke.
