MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Sheriff’s deputies spotted a 2013 Dodge Charger that had evaded ECISD officers earlier and attempted to stop the vehicle.
Officers had obtained a warrant for the driver of the vehicle and were actively searching for him for the evasion charge.
When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it evaded officers and a pursuit began, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph.
Odessa Police Department officers joined in the pursuit that took officers around the areas of Madera, Conover, Santa Monica and to West 16th where the vehicle spun out of control causing the left rear tire to deflate.
At 10th and Coronado the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot into a pasture heavy with mesquite and cactus but was found and with assistance of OPD K-9.
Isaul L. Galindo, 22, and his passenger Sebastian Urquidi, WHM, 18, who was the owner of the car, were arrested.
According to officials, approximately 25.5 grams of cocaine was also found in the vehicle.
Both were charged with POSSESSION OF COCAINE, F-2 along with the evading charges.
Urquidi and Galindo both remain in custody with bonds totaling $30,000.00 each.
